Privacy Policy

Overview

audioso converts text and PDFs into speech. This policy explains what data we process, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell your data.

Account information

Authentication is handled by Clerk. When you sign up we create an account record storing your Clerk user ID and email address, along with your current plan and usage. We use this to identify you, enforce your monthly character limit, and manage your subscription.

Your content

The text you paste, or the text extracted from a PDF you upload, is used to generate your audio. To do this, your text is sent to our AI speech provider (OpenRouter, running the Microsoft MAI Voice 2 model) for synthesis. We then purge the submitted text from our database once generation completes — we do not retain your content after your audio is produced.

Generated audio

Generated MP3 files are stored on Cloudflare R2 and accessed through short-lived signed links. Files are automatically deleted from storage 24 hours after generation.

Payments

Paid plans are processed by Dodo Payments. Payment-card data is handled entirely by Dodo; we never receive or store full card numbers. We retain a customer reference and subscription status to manage your plan. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time from the in-app billing page.

Analytics

In production we load Umami to understand traffic and measure conversions. It uses cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics; you can control cookies in your browser.

Service providers

We rely on these third parties to operate: Clerk (authentication), Dodo Payments (billing), OpenRouter (speech synthesis), and Cloudflare (audio storage and delivery). Each provider processes data under its own terms as necessary to deliver the service.

Data retention

• Submitted text: purged after generation completes.
• Generated audio: deleted after 24 hours.
• Account and billing records: kept while your account is active; deleted on request.

Your choices

You can access, correct, or request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at ottaviano@audioso.app. You may cancel a paid subscription at any time from billing.

Children

audioso is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
